What is Yamuna Body Rolling?
Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) is a unique fitness and therapy practice that combines healing, wellness, and injury prevention. At its core, YBR focuses on several key principles:
- Direct Bone Stimulation: Improves bone quality and reduces excessive impact on the bones.
- Bone Alignment: Proper alignment of bones influences muscle quality and overall body function.
- Targeted Muscle Work: Focuses on working muscles from their origin toward their insertion.
- Mild Traction: Allows muscles and fascia to elongate and release tension.
- Alignment First: Proper alignment of bones is prioritized before working on muscles to improve overall posture and function.
YBR uses a 6- to 10-inch ball to deeply penetrate the body, allowing your body weight to press into a round, supportive form. The ball provides resistance and feedback, helping the body to respond and realign. This practice helps with a variety of issues, including sciatica, herniated disks, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain in the back, neck, and shoulders. By rolling over the ball, muscles are stretched, fascia is released, and space is created around joints, allowing the body to heal and restore balance.
